The speakers

Peter C. Bishop, Founder and Executive Director of Teach the Future

Dr. Bishop is the Founder and Executive Director of Teach the Future, an organization whose mission is to encourage and support educators who want to include futures thinking in their classes and schools at all levels around the world.  In 2013, Dr. Bishop retired as a Professor Emeritus of Strategic Foresight and Director of the graduate program in Foresight at the University of Houston.

He has published two books on Strategic Foresight: Thinking about the Future: Guidelines for Strategic Foresight (2007) and Teaching about the Future: The Basics of Foresight Education (2012), both with co-author Andy Hines. Dr. Bishop is a founding Board member and Chair of the Membership Committee for the Association of Professional Futurists.

Carol Fernandes, Trends Lab Coordinator, Casa Firjan

Trends Lab Coordinator at Casa Firjan (FIRJAN – Federation of the Industries of Rio de Janeiro), a center dedicated to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship and thinking about the future in Rio de Janeiro.

PhD in Anthropology and specialist in behavior and consumption research. Over 20 years of experience in the market as a trend researcher, consultant, and professor at Veiga de Almeida University, Senai Cetiqt, SENAC São Paulo and Vila Velha University. Have worked in institutions that support retail business (SENAC) and industry (SENAI).

Responsible for creating the FUTURID methodology, which guides entrepreneurs in the identification and analysis of future trends. Co-created the Futures Studies course and the Possible Futures Game at Casa Firjan. Speaker at events on innovation and trends. She has also experience in fashion, research, and collection development, having worked for national companies and international projects.

David Alayón, co-founder and chief foresight officer of the social innovation consultancy Innuba

Expert in innovation and disruptive technologies, with more than 15 years of experience in the development and implementation of innovation strategies and processes. Highlights his work at Inditex as head of innovation projects, from 2015 to 2018.

He is co-founder and chief foresight officer of Innuba, a social innovation consultancy that helps companies design and launch products and services that generate positive impact. In addition, he founded Mindset, a consulting firm specialized in transforming companies through innovation and talent, with a futuristic vision, where he serves as chief innovation officer.

He also teaches at digital and business schools such as HeadSpring, Instituto de Empresa and Istituto Europeo di Design (IED). He has spoken as a speaker at events such as TEDx, Mobile World Congress and South Summit.

Montse Zamorano, Design Strategy Lead, Accenture Song.

Montse Zamorano Gañán has more than 10 years of international experience in Spain, USA and China working in design, innovation and branding.

At Fjord, Part of Accenture Song helps clients innovate and enable the next generation of products, services, systems and cultures, integrating design thinking methods with business strategies. She has been responsible for coordinating the scouting of Fjord Trends for Iberia.

She is also co-founder of Bildia and has developed her practice as a professional architectural photographer.

Architect by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, she has complemented her education with a Master in Branding by School of Visual Arts (SVA) and a Master in Integrated Marketing by New York University as a Fulbright and La Caixa scholar.

Claudia Lieshout, Principal Design Research at Philips Design

Claudia Lieshout’s current position is Principal Design Research, delivering people centric trend forecasts. Claudia graduated in 1995 as a bachelor ‘Man and Identity’ at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. After working as a freelancer, designing patterns and fashion accessories, she started her career at Philips Design in 1997.

In her current position, Claudia has the responsibility to direct the Trend Research activities from Philips Experience Design headquarters and leading global trend research programs, as well as to consult Philips businesses worldwide to translate trend insights into innovation activities.

Claudia speaks at conferences, and features in interviews in the European press. She has been a guest lecturer in academic collaborations with the Fashion Institute of Arnhem, University of Delft, University of Sheffield and International Lifestyle studies in Tilburg, where she is also a member of the advisory board. She is a full member of the Color Envelope team, facilitated by Akzo Nobel.

Mario Tascón, Managing partner of Prodigioso Volcán

Managing partner of Prodigioso Volcán, a strategic consulting, project management and invention, information architecture, communication strategies and design company for new media and companies.

As a consultant he has managed projects for ACR, Agencia EFE, BBVA, Madrid City Council, Banco Santander, Cadena SER, Coca Cola, Comunidad de Madrid, Construcía, Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Desigual, FarmaIndustria, Fundación Telefónica, Mapfre, Pharmadus, Roche, El País (Spain) and El Universal (Mexico), among many other companies and entities.

He is a specialist in digital media and social networks, content for all types of media from web to tablets, and also in visualization, data journalism and new narratives. Information architecture and reengineering of content creation and distribution processes (in media and marketing areas) are other of his preferences.

Author of several books of essays on the internet, big data and social networks and co-author of the novel La Biblia bastarda. He has directed the Manual del español para Internet, redes sociales y nuevos medios of the Fundación del Español Urgente (Fundéu), which he chaired between 2019 and 2020. His latest book -Presentaciones de impacto- was released in 2021.

He was part of the team led by Ferran Adrià for the exhibition Auditando el proceso creativo (Auditing the creative process). As a journalist, he directed the digital area of the Prisa group (2000-2008) after launching the digital edition of the newspaper El Mundo and founding the first digital newsroom in Spain in this media (1996-2000).

He has been an advisor to more than 15 international media, associate professor at the University of Navarra, CEU and ISDI and has taught and lectured at multiple Spanish, American and European universities. He is a teacher at the Gabriel García Márquez Gabo Foundation.
