CEEP Environmental Education Environmental Education Program carried out at the Pedernales School Experimentation Centre.

The aim of the BBK environmental education programme is raise the awareness and consciousness of young people in Bizkaia.

As part of BBK’s activity in the field of education, workshops and courses are organised annually for Years 4, 5 and 6 of primary school and Years 1 and 2 of secondary school. All educational centres in Bizkaia that want to promote a change in individual and collective action to protect the environment can take part in this programme.

The Environmental Education programme is carried out in weekly stays of four days at the Pedernales School Experimentation Centre, located at the BBK Urdaibai Centre. The workshops and educational leisure activities carried out during the programme are aimed at promoting coexistence between all the participants from different schools in Bizkaia.

The students who attend CEEP during their stay carry out practical environmental education projects about the planet, the land and biodiversity, which helps them to broaden their knowledge and become aware of caring for the environment.

The Pedernales School Experimentation Centre (CEEP) was created in 1982 thanks to a collaboration agreement between the Department of Education of the Basque Government and BBK.

Applications to be part of the project for the 2019/2020 academic year have already been accepted, but BBK will soon publish the registration for the upcoming training courses.
