Today, we presented our new in-house theater production for the upcoming edition of Aste Nagusia to the media. With this proposal, Sala BBK reaffirms its commitment, for the fourth consecutive year, to creating original, high-quality theater shows conceived specifically for Bilbao’s festivities.<\/p>\n

The play, titled \u201cGaupasa\u201d, is a comedy written and directed by Bilbao playwright David Cai\u00f1a. Through the Txorimalo<\/em> group of friends, the show journeys through fifteen years of Bilbao’s festivals, exploring friendships, romances, reproaches, and shared memories that build the collective memory of a cuadrilla<\/em> (group of lifelong friends).<\/p>\n

A new comedy to celebrate Bilbao’s festivities<\/strong><\/p>\n

With \u201cGaupasa\u201d, we continue a line of work that we have consolidated over recent summers, following the success of productions such as \u201cAgur, Otxoa basatia!\u201d, \u201cUrte berri off. \u00a1Feliz 2025!\u201d, and \u201cConfeti. El regreso\u201d. Our goal remains to promote shows created expressly for Aste Nagusia, deeply connected to the festive context and the local audience.<\/p>\n

The play stars Aiora Sedano, Josu Angulo, I\u00f1aki Maruri, Luc\u00eda Astigarraga, Ibai Gonz\u00e1lez Rica, and David Cai\u00f1a himself, in an ensemble piece that combines humor, nostalgia, and a generational perspective on the city’s festivals.<\/p>\n

Dates and tickets<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cGaupasa\u201d will run from August 23 to 30 at the theater on Bilbao’s Gran V\u00eda, with eight scheduled performances at 7:30 PM. Tickets are already on sale for 25 euros.<\/p>\n

Commitment to local creation<\/strong><\/p>\n

With this new production, we reinforce our commitment to local artistic creation and to promoting regional talent, betting on original proposals born with the vocation of becoming part of Bilbao’s cultural identity.<\/p>\n

In this way, Sala BBK continues to consolidate its role as a space of reference within the cultural programming of Aste Nagusia, bringing audiences stories that are relatable, recognizable, and deeply linked to the life of the city.<\/p>\n<\/div>
