Úrsula Strong and Koldo Soret transform into NIÑA COYOTE ETA CHICO TORNADO to push the boundaries of rock, taking it into barren landscapes infused with punk energy and razor-sharp riffs. Based in Donostia-San Sebastián, the duo have spent years relentlessly reshaping the genre, twisting and expanding it into something both raw and powerful. Their music is an earthquake that shakes audiences to the core, a wild storm that, on this occasion, joins forces with Álex de la Iglesia’s equally ferocious debut feature, Acción Mutante (1993). A visceral science fiction film populated by grotesque, flawed and socially rejected characters, Acción Mutante remains strikingly relevant more than 30 years after its release. In a culture increasingly obsessed with aesthetics and body image, its rallying cry “Burn the gyms!” still resonates today. During the screening, NIÑA COYOTE ETA CHICO TORNADO will perform their original score for Acción Mutante live.
