Useful technology for everyday life
A series of talks designed to bring cutting-edge technology closer to our everyday lives. Technology moves so quickly that it can sometimes feel overwhelming. At Tech 4 Good, we translate the tools and trends of the future into clear, practical and accessible language.
No matter your age or previous knowledge, this is an open space for younger and older people, and for anyone curious about how technology can support us in our daily lives.
We will explore the latest technological trends and discover how we can use them ourselves: from AI-powered virtual assistants to new forms of entertainment, such as augmented and virtual reality cinema, as well as autonomous humanoid robots powered by artificial intelligence.
Each session is a window into the future, designed for everyday life.

6 October – The augmented body: technology that expands our abilities
What technology would you like to have ten years from now to help you live with greater independence and well-being?
For centuries, we have used tools such as glasses and walking sticks to make everyday life easier. Today, technology is opening up new possibilities to help us move with greater strength, maintain our balance and carry out certain tasks with less effort.
In this talk, we will discover how exoskeletons, wearable robotics and artificial intelligence are already transforming healthcare, sport and the workplace.
The aim is not to turn us into robots, but to create technologies that support our bodies when they need it most.
20 October – Why does Alexa understand me so well?
Does Alexa really understand what we say? And how is it different from tools such as ChatGPT?
In this talk, we will explore in a simple and accessible way what happens when we speak to an artificial intelligence system, and how these technologies learn to recognise our words, interpret context and answer our questions.
We will also look at the difference between traditional assistants, such as Alexa or Siri, which carry out specific instructions, and the new generation of artificial intelligence tools that can hold conversations, analyse information and help us with everyday tasks.
An opportunity to better understand how AI works and discover how it can already help us organise our lives, communicate and manage everyday activities.
