“Let’s build our paper car”
BBK Kuna , 15 July 2026 , 17:30h
Get ready to build your own paper car. In this activity, children will create a car using a simple origami technique, transforming a sheet of paper into a three-dimensional vehicle.
First, they will look at images of different types of cars and identify some of their main parts, such as the wheels, windows, doors, bonnet, and bodywork. They will then follow a series of step-by-step folds to shape their vehicle, developing manual precision and attention to sequences.
Once the construction is complete, participants will be able to decorate their cars using markers, stickers, and drawings, adding colours, licence plates, headlights, or imaginative features to personalise their creations.
During the activity, we will talk about the different parts of a car and the function of each one. Participants will discover that wheels allow movement, windows help people see outside, and the bodywork protects those travelling inside the vehicle.
This hands-on activity encourages hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, spatial awareness, sequence comprehension, and an early understanding of the parts and functions of a vehicle through a creative and practical learning experience.
