We develop 100% compostable tree protectors to reforest without polluting.

Compostree was born from the personal commitment of Isabel Abascal to leave a positive mark on nature.
After years in the consulting industry, one day, on a tree plantation with her son, she discovered that plastic pipes were being used to protect trees. That contradiction sparked her purpose. “We want to reforest in order to slow down climate change, but we’re doing it wrong,” says Isabel.

Thus begins a phase of research and learning where she detects a clear niche: protect trees without generating waste. Inspired by real sustainability, she develops a 100% compostable protector made from corn starch and vegetable fibres. Its aim is to contribute to the regeneration of the planet without compromising the future.
“Undertaking a business venture is a daily adventure,” says Isabel. Moving from the corporate world to launching an idea from scratch was a leap full of uncertainty, but also growth. Thanks to the impetus of BBK Ekin, Compostree has been able to advance with accompaniment, technical support and visibility, consolidating itself as a solution aligned with the circular economy and social impact.
Her history shows that small gestures can bring about great transformations, and that protecting forests also means taking care of the methods by which we do so. Compostree is her little grain of sand: an innovative, local and responsible commitment to reforesting by taking care of the environment from the source.
