The best outdoor plans for this weekend in Bizkaia

We start September with new proposals to make the most of the weekend in Bizkaia, combining outdoor sports, local atmosphere and activities for all audiences.

On the one hand, we resume the Mendi Martxak calendar after the summer break. Hand in hand with the Vizcaína Mountain Federation, we meet again to travel through the landscapes of our territory in an active, sustainable and inclusive way.

Our first event after the holidays comes this September 13 with the climb to Ortuella, the perfect opportunity to put on our boots again and enjoy nature. After this route, we will face the final stretch of the program with the marches of Barakaldo (October 4) and Getxo (November 22). As always, we design all outings on approved trails and with limited places to guarantee the care and protection of our natural environment.

Table football tournament in Portugalete

If you are looking for a different plan in an urban environment, we are waiting for you on Sunday at the Portugalete fair. In addition to our usual offer of local product stalls, we host the second edition of the table football tournament, following the excellent reception we experienced in the first edition held in July at the Gorliz fair.

This is an open proposal for people of all ages and without the need for prior registration: you just have to come over and sign up right there upon arrival. Those who get the best scores will take home packs of local products and various gifts, with a special prize for first place consisting of two gift backpacks.

Nature and learning in Klima Abentura

For those who prefer to enjoy a day outdoors in the heart of Urdaibai, Klima Abentura keeps its doors open during the months of September and October. The park continues to offer its immersive experiences, workshops and games designed for families to discover the environmental richness of the reserve while learning about the importance of taking care of the planet.

During this month of September you can visit us every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 19:30. In addition, the park will also remain open during the month of October, on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 to 19:00 until the end of the month.
