ANNA STAROBINETS & ELIA BARCELÓ | JA! FESTIVAL

Event in English with simultaneous translation.

Aliens, time travel, impossible creatures, unsettling dystopias… Drawing on different literary traditions, Anna Starobinets and Elia Barceló have found in speculative fiction a space of freedom from which to question identity, the body and the limits of what it means to be human.

They will discuss the ever-blurring boundaries between science fiction, horror and fantasy, and how these genres broaden our perspective, taking us from strangeness and paradox towards those things that reality cannot explain.

Admission: €3. Book signing.

Festival Friends: free admission with prior reservation.

Tickets available from 23 September.
