¡E.A!

Sala BBK , 18 September 2026 , 21:00h

E.A! is a performance born from the raw, unfiltered reality of Alzheimer’s disease.

Closely connected to the Gogorarazteko Therapeutic Flamenco Project, Oroigarri… Oroigarri baten koplak can be considered its prequel.

It tells the story of the creative process and how a caregiver (Paco Mora) transforms his mother Carmen Mora’s journey with Alzheimer’s into a process of living with the disease in a less painful way, finding shared paths that allow them to remain connected.

The performance features four characters: The Son, Carmen, Little Carmen (Carmencita), and Carmen 50 “. The latter two are alter egos of Carmen, representing her childhood and adult selves.

Through the character of Carmen 50 “, the performance explores, from a new perspective, what happens once the illness reaches its final stage, portraying the family’s journey of acceptance and adaptation to the new reality they must face.

It is a journey through family caregiving, reconciliation, and Alzheimer’s disease. A deeply moving narrative in which the caregiver’s struggle, frustration, and pain become the very tools that make it possible to live alongside memory loss, while keeping alive the spirit and hope of the mother who once showed him the way.

This performance is the central event organized by AFA, in collaboration with Developpe Dantza and BBK, to mark World Alzheimer’s Day.
