The augmented body: technology to expand our capabilities

Sasoiko Centre , 6 October 2026 , 17:30h

A series of lectures created with the purpose of connecting technological avant-garde with our everyday reality. Sometimes technology advances so fast that it makes your head spin, but at Tech 4 Good we want to translate future technology into a simple, practical, and useful language for your day-to-day life. No matter your age or the knowledge you come with: this is an open space for young people, seniors, and any curious mind.

We will catch up by learning about the latest technological trends and developments, and we will discuss how they can be used by ourselves. From AI-driven virtual assistants to diving into the latest entertainment trends, such as augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) cinema, passing through autonomous humanoid robots powered by AI.

Each session is a window to the future designed for everyday life.

This October, we will cover the following topics:

October 6 – The augmented body: technology to expand our capabilities What technology would you like to have in ten years to live with more autonomy and well-being?

For centuries we have used tools such as glasses or canes to get around better in our daily lives. Now, technology opens up new possibilities to help us move with more strength, maintain better balance, or perform certain tasks with less effort.

In this talk we will discover how exoskeletons, wearable robotics, and artificial intelligence are already transforming fields such as health, sports, or work.

It is not about turning ourselves into robots, but about creating technologies that accompany and support our bodies when they need it most.

October 20 – Why does Alexa understand me so well? Does Alexa really understand what we say to it? And how is it different from tools like ChatGPT?

In this talk we will discover, in a simple and approachable way, what happens when we speak with an artificial intelligence and how these technologies manage to recognize our words, interpret context, and answer our questions.

We will also learn the difference between traditional assistants, like Alexa or Siri, which execute specific instructions, and new artificial intelligences capable of holding a conversation, analyzing information, and helping us with daily tasks.

An opportunity to better understand how AI works and discover how it can already help us organize, communicate, and get around in our daily lives.
