Carmelo Zuñiga

Carmelo works at the reception of Biocruces Bizkaia, where he is the first face that many people see when they enter. From there he manages reservations, internal communications and provides daily support to the team. A position that is adapted his qualities and in which he feels valued.

He started in the purchasing department, but after reflecting with his colleagues on his visual disability, together they found a place where he could shine even more.

“I work a lot with my colleagues, I have a great relationship with them and it’s something that I like,” he explains with a smile.

For Carmelo, having a disability is not a barrier, it’s part of his life, and this he has learned from an early age. “I have always been taught to look for ways to solve things”.
