The purpose of BBK Kuna

BBK Kuna has always been linked to the reality of Bizkaia, leading initiatives that respond to its changing needs. For more than 100 years, the BBK Banking Foundation has promoted projects to generate positive social impact and build a more inclusive and sustainable society.

We base ourselves on 3 strategic pillars.

We explore emerging trends and challenges to anticipate ourselves to social changes. Through innovation, we generate responses tailored to the needs of a changing society.

We encourage joint work between citizens, companies, institutions and research centres. We believe in collective intelligence as a driver of change and sustainable development.

We transform ideas into real projects with a positive impact on society. We apply participatory methodologies to design, test and scale innovative solutions.

Neighbourhood Consultative Council

An agent created from within Kuna itself, whose premise is to ensure that the voices of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood are heard and integrated into the initiatives. In addition to collaborating in the co-creation of solutions, participating actively in workshops and sessions.

Institute

Led by Daniel Innerarity and composed of experts in the area, the objective of this agent is to contribute its experience and knowledge to the ecosystem of initiatives, strengthening and expanding the impact of each one of them, through their knowledge.
